Here's a story from Stone Age.

Back in days when we started hunting as chimpanzees, different groups and coalitions were formed. These groups were led by an individual, who is termed as 'Alpha Male', since almost always it was a male.

The Alpha Male strives to maintain social harmony in his group. When two individuals fight, he will intervene and stop the violence.

When two males are contesting for the position, they usually do so by forming support of the members of the group.

The reason why I am sharing this out of the blue is, how the leader is chosen. The Alpha Male usually wins his position not because he is physically strong but because he leads a large and stable coalition, wherein there might be members more stronger than him.

Here we learn a key leadership lesson from our ancestors. The key lies is building human relationships. Not just at work but in any endeavour, any aspect of our lives.

Thanks for reading.
Hope you have a great day ahead.
